On Saturday, the Lewis County High School tennis team finally received some good weather for two back-to-back matches, played on the courts at the Lewis County Park.

LCHS Wrestlers hosts Annual Banquet

The 2017-18 LCHS wrestling team held its annual banquet Saturday, April 7, at Giovanni’s Restaurant. Wrestlers were honored for their accomplishments throughout the season by Head Coach Rick Thomason and Assistant Coach Jeremy McCartney.

Lady Patriots stroll to victory against Bridgeport

The Lady Patriots softball team was at Bridgeport on Thursday, April 12. The Lady Patriots took a 2-0 lead in the first inning and rolled to a 21-3 victory thanks to a 10-hit, 13-run seventh inning.

LCHS Track competes at Russ Parsons Invitational

On Saturday, the Lewis County High School track and field teams took to the road to the Russ Parsons Invitational meet, where the boys team took sixth place with 27 points and the girls took ninth place with 17 points.

On Saturday, April 21, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Robert L. Bland Middle School, there will be an early bird signup discount for all football players and cheerleaders.

Local team takes 1st place in Elkins

Lewis County girls fifth and sixth grade Lightning basketball team traveled to Elkins for the YMCA Mountain Madness Tournament March 24-25, and finished first place out of four teams to showcase. They brought home the championship win.
