Youth Baseball registrations open for Spring

Lewis Baseball Association officially continues registration for the Spring 2018 season through March 9.  Online registration is available at  
Also, you’ll be able to register in person at LBA’s indoor batting cage located at the Butchersville Complex.  In person registrations will be Thursday, February 22, from 5:30-8 p.m., and Sunday, Feb. 25, from 2-4 p.m.
The registration deadline will be Feb. 26, for softball and March 9 for baseball, including tee-ball.  This year’s registration fee is $60. This fee includes registration and insurance fees, as well as a uniform jersey and team hat, which players will keep at the end of the season.  
Families will be responsible for purchasing uniform pants once teams are drafted and colors are announced. Below, you will find the following age divisions that are available for baseball and softball. Please note that the PONY has moved the age cut off from April to August to have children in the same grade playing in the same division together.  
Baseball: Shetland 6U – Birthdate between Sept. 1, 2011- Aug. 31, 2013.
Pinto 8U – Birthdate between Sept. 1, 2009 – Aug. 31, 2011
Mustang10U – Birthdate between Sept. 1, 2007- Aug. 31, 2009
Bronco 12U – Birthdate between Sept. 1, 2005- Aug. 31, 2007
PONY 14U – Birthdate between Sept. 1, 2003- Aug. 31, 2005
Colt 16U – Birthdate between Sept. 1, 2001 – Aug. 31, 2003
Softball: The player’s age on Dec. 31, 2017, will be their league age for the upcoming season.  
Evaluations for softball will be held Saturday, Feb. 24, 9-11 a.m., and Monday, February 26, from 5:30-7 p.m.  
Baseball evaluations will begin Monday, March 5. The following is baseball’s evaluation schedule: Monday, March 5 will be Pinto, Tuesday, March 6 will be Mustang, Wednesday, March 7 will be Bronco, Thursday, March 8 will be Pony/Colt.  
All evaluations will begin at 6 p.m. Please bring a copy of your child’s original birth certificate to evaluations for LBA to keep on file.  
Another new rule for this season effective as of Jan. 1, all bats must have the USABAT stamp to use them for practices and games. Find up-to-date information at and the Lewis Baseball Association Facebook page.
