W.Va. Strawberry Festival Photography Exhibit Accepting Contest Entries

The Buckhannon Upshur Camera Club, in concert with the West Virginia Strawberry Festival, announce the 2017 Photography Contest guidelines.
Amateur adult and youth photographers alike are invited to prepare photos to be displayed in the following classes: People, Things or Places, Monochrome, Nature, Wild and Wonderful West Virginia, General and Youth General.
The entry fee for adult participants is $4 per photograph. Youth entry fees are being sponsored by the generosity of the Upshur County Arts Alliance.
The photo selected as “Best of Show”, and the first-, second- and third-place winners in all categories will receive a ribbon and cash prize. Honorable mention ribbons are also awarded by the judges. These awards will be presented at the photographers’ reception at 6 p.m., Wednesday, May 17, at the exhibit location: Upshur County Senior Center.
Special ribbons will be placed for People’s Choice, Queen’s Choice, Strawberry Teen’s Choice, King’s Choice, and
President’s Choice. These ribbons are awarded during the contest and will be hung after selections are made by Strawberry Royalty.

The exhibit will be held as a part of the WV Strawberry Festival at the following location and times: Location: Upshur County Senior Center, 2 Senior Drive, Buckhannon WV.
Exhibit Dates:  
• Wednesday, May 17, from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.  
• Wednesday, May 17th, at 6 p.m.: Exhibitor’s Reception and Awards.
• Thursday, May 18 from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.  
• Friday, May 19 from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m.  
• Saturday, May 20, from 8 p.m. - 12 p.m.
