A Weston woman has been placed under arrest for allegedly locking her three young children, ages two, four and six in their residence using a hasp lock and a can opener to secure the lock to go to the store.
Angelena D. Roach, 34, of West 2nd Street, is now facing a felony child neglect charge on this matter by Patrolman Newbrough of Weston Police Department.
Once on scene according to the complaint officers made contact with the children’s father Donald Lough.
The complaint states that the officers contacted Child Protective Services (CPS), but after CPS completed their evaluation Roach did not return to the resident, which police waited at for two hours longer.
If convicted Roach faces a fine of between $1,000 to $3,000 and/or an incarceration time of between one to five years.
Roach is currently being held at Central Regional Jail, with a $50,000 cash/surety bond.A Weston woman has been placed under arrest for allegedly locking her three young children, ages two, four and six in their residence using a hasp lock and a can opener to secure the lock to go to the store.
