Viola Virginia “Vi” Meadows, 66, of Harrison Avenue, Weston, passed away at 5:51 p.m., on Saturday, December 30, 2017, in the Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital in Weston.
She was born in Weston on May 29, 1951, a daughter of the late Roy “Tip” Claypoole and Ruby Hefner Claypoole.
She was survived by several cousins including Gale Workman of Weston and Bud Turner of Westfield, and a cousin who was like her little brother, Joseph Claypoole, wife Kathy, and son, David, of Jane Lew; many friends, and her best friend, loyal companion, and beloved Shih Tzu, Cubby, who was always by her side, being loved and cherished like an only child.
Vi worked as a health service aide for William R. Sharpe Jr. Hospital in Weston for many years, and she enjoyed attending the retiree dinners with her friends. She valued her friendships and enjoyed socializing with her friends, going out to dinner, attending women’s retreats, or just talking on the phone to stay in touch.
Friends and family will gather at the Pat Boyle Funeral Home and Cremation Service at 144 Hackers Creek Rd. in Jane Lew from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. on Thursday, January 4, 2018. Funeral Services will follow, at 1 p.m., at the Pat Boyle Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mark Anderson officiating. Interment will follow in Peterson Cemetery in Weston.
