Soccer Maids drop two tough contests

The Lewis County High School Minutemaid Soccer Team dropped two tough contests last week to Preston County and Fairmont Senior.

The Maids fell behind early against Fairmont Senior, and trailed the Lady Polar Bears 3-0 going into the locker room at halftime.

LCHS came roaring back in the second half with three goals, but the comeback attempt fell just short as Fairmont Senior added another goal in the second half to make the final score 4-3.

The Maids traveled to Preston County Thursday, Sept. 6, where they fell to the Lady Knights 2-0. The loss moves the Maids to a 2-3-2 record on the season.

The Maids are in action again this week with a game at Lincoln on Tuesday, Sept. 11, and a home match against the Robert C. Byrd Eagles on Thursday, Sept. 13.
