Shelia Kay Riffle, 59, of McWhorter Rd., Jane Lew, passed away at 9:03 a.m., on Tuesday, September 12, 2017, in the comfort of her home following an extended illness.
She was born in Weston on October 8, 1957, a daughter of the late Richard Lee Riffle and Esther Mary Waggy Riffle of Jane Lew.
Her strong, friendly nature will be carried on by her two children: Christy Sue Jane Pratt and husband, Rocky Lipps of Weston, and Ginger Kay Knight of Jane Lew; five grandchildren who will dearly miss their Grandma: Sabrina Nichole Knight and husband, Ray B. Hartley, of Lost Creek, Brooke Lynn Lipps of Weston, Renata Rae Reel of Weston, Cody Wayne Reynolds of Jane Lew, and Chase James Knight of Jane Lew; five great grandchildren: Renae N. Hartley, Caylee A. Hartley, Cadien W. Groves, Gabriella N. Groves, all of Lost Creek, and McKenna B. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her best friend, loyal companion, and beloved dachshund, Rosie.
Shelia’s sassy, strong-willed determination helped her become a breast cancer survivor and she lived her life in fifth gear, maximizing every minute to make memories and have fun. She enjoyed horseback riding, mud bogging, riding motorcycles, socializing with her friends, attending concerts, and spending time with her family, especially at their family cook-outs.
Family and friends gathered at the Pat Boyle Funeral Home and Cremation Service, at 144 Hackers Creek Rd., in Jane Lew, from noon to 1 p.m., on Saturday, September 16, 2017.
