Ronald Ray “Ronnie” Snyder, 59, of Walnut Street, Weston, passed away at 11:05 p.m., on Sunday, May 14, 2017, in the Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital in Weston following a long battle with cancer.
He was born in Weston on October 19, 1957, a son of Billy Ray Snyder of Weston and the late Violet Jeannette Moneypenny Snyder.
He is survived by two daughters: Stefanie Snyder of Horsehead, NY, and Ronda Snyder of Lucedale, MS; one granddaughter, Raylee; three sisters: Debbie Bragg, Cindy Cook, and Colleen Stalnaker, all of Weston; companion, Judy Myers of Weston; seven nieces and nephews: Becky Farley, Shawn Bragg, Mike Bragg, Troy Cook, Kyle Cook, Cassi Gum, and Brandi Stalnaker; several great nieces and nephews; several aunts and uncles; and former wife, Josephine Richardson.
Ronnie was a rig worker in the oil and gas industry for many years. He loved the outdoors and enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and riding ATV’s. He also liked playing poker, and working on cars in his garage with his nephew, Mike, who he loved like a son.
Friends and family will gather at the Pat Boyle Funeral Home and Cremation Service at 144 Hackers Creek Rd., in Jane Lew, from 5-7 p.m., on Thursday, May 18, 2017. Funeral Services will follow at 7 p.m., at the Pat Boyle Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Craig Snyder officiating.
