Rockin’ Robin’s and JLES Raise Money for Relay

Bobbin’s Rockin’ Robin’s Relay for Life Team is partnering with Jane Lew Elementary School, for the second year in a row, to raise money for the American Cancer Society.

Students will collect spare change the entire month of March and place the change in banks in classrooms.

Last year, students raised over $5,000 in spare change.

The Robin’s will be collecting and counting the money raised each week, to give the students updates and to encourage them.

The grade level who raises the most money will receive a pizza party and the class that raises the most money will receive a movie day.

“We are hoping to keep up the moral,” said Manager of Robin’s Nest Travel Center Ray Smith.
“Last year, the students did such a terrific job and we hope that his year merits the same results,” said Robin’s team member Jamie Donaldson.

“This is a really important thing for the students to take part in, because everyone of them knows someone with cancer or who has had cancer or another disease. I’m glad our school can take part in raising money for cancer research,” said Principal Denise Sprouse.
