RLBMS Cheerleaders Complete Successful Competition Season

The Robert L. Bland Middle School Patriot Cheerleaders finished up a successful competition season. Their season began in December when they traveled to the Holiday Cheer Classic where they placed 3rd in routine.
In January, the team traveled to East Fairmont where they placed 4th in sideline, 3rd in cheer, 1st in routine and were then awarded Overall Grand Champions.
Also in January, the girls traveled to the Punky Garrett Cheer Classic where the team place 5th in sideline, 3rd in cheer and 2nd in routine. Individual Stunt group competition had the girls placing 3rd.
In February, the Patriots traveled to the panhandle where they competed at the Musselman Cheer Classic. The team took home 3rd in sideline, 2nd in cheer, 2nd in routine and 1st place in Individual Stunt Group.
The season recently ended with the Fairmont Cheer Classic where the team took 1st place in 3-minute routine and 1st place in individual stunt group.
The Patriots Cheerleaders are coached by Erin Freeman, Elyse Moneypenny and Lauren Blake.
Members of the Patriots Stunt group earning honors at competitions were: Sidney Slaughter, Taylor Boggs, Malena Brown, Kailee Posey, Kaylee Zielinski and Kristen Simmons.
