Rebecca “Becky” Loraine Ireland, 73, of Autumn Lane, Beckley, passed away at 3:40 p.m., on Sunday, November 19, 2017, in the Charleston Area Medical Center.
She was born in Weston on July 5, 1944, a daughter of the late Robert Lester James and Betty Regenia Adolt James.
She is survived by six children: Candi Cayton of Cleveland, OH, Dale Cutright of Spencer, Greg Cutright and wife, Missy, of Massilon, OH, Bridget Stanley and husband, John, of Loganville, GA, Gary Cutright and companion, Angie, of Beckley, and Shannon “Sam” Chambers and husband, Jimmy, of Spencer; 15 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; two siblings: Karen Dolph of Maine, and Rick James and wife, Phyllis, of Weston; several nieces and nephews; and her best friend and beloved Shih Tzu, Buffy.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Krista Romel.
Rebecca worked at Argle’s Gun and Pawn Shop in Gassaway for many years. She enjoyed flower gardening, crafting, and working puzzles. She loved animals and once had a Quaker Parrot. She was a member of the Sugar Creek Baptist Church.
Rebecca’s request for cremation has been honored and her family will have a private burial in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Jane Lew. Expressions of sympathy may be sent directly to the family.
