Raymond “Bim” Forrest Junkins Jr., 64, of 4 Burnthouse Rd., Smithville, passed away on Thursday, June 15, 2017, in Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital of Weston following an car accident.
He was born in Clarksburg on March 12, 1953, son of the late Raymond Junkins Sr., and Charolotte (Buckhannon) Junkins and step-mother Mary Wannona Junkins. He was married to Ellen Bernice (Post) Junkins, who preceded him in death in 2012.
Mr. Junkins is survived by five daughters: Renaee Moore and Bobby, Patricia Stallard and Gary of Myrtle Beach, SC, Michelle Cole of Glenville, Sondra Branson and Mike of Richmond, VA, one son: Michael Junkins and Dusty, eight grandchildren: Amanda Brunette, Alisha White, Sarah Stallard, Summer Stallard, Alley Moore and Hayden Branson,Sierra Richards,Timothy Richards, five great-grandchildren: Elizabeth Burnette, Vivienne Burnette, Marcus Burnette, Trinity Stallard and Hailie Stallard and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, Bernice, Raymond was preceded in death by an infant son.
Mr. Junkins was a member of the Southside Baptist Church. He volunteered countless hours for the Burnthouse community and was a great foster parent for 23 years. He loved hunting and fishing, but spending time with family was his true pleasure. Mr. Junkins was a veteran of the United States Army in which he proudly served.
