The Weston Democrat’s sales representative, Connie Posey, has decided to resign after accepting a new position as a sales representative for Summerville Journal Scene, Goose Creek Gazette and Berkeley Independent with a service area of Goose Creek, North Charleston and Charleston, South Carolina.
Posey was working remotely for The Weston Democrat after moving to South Carolina in 2018, and has chosen to accept a position closer to her new residence, where she can get out and meet with customers face-to-face.
Ellen Robinson, advertising manager for Mountaineer Newspapers and West Virginia native, began working with the company’s newspapers and Value Guides in May, 2018. She said she is excited to assume the customer accounts that Posey has left behind and looks forward to working with these new customers.
“I will be handling not only my own current accounts, but will take over all of Connie’s accounts,” Robinson said. “I look forward to building a long-standing relationship with Lewis County and its businesses. I wish you a happy and prosperous New Year.”
Robinson hails from Harrison County and was formerly the senior sales representative for the Exponent Telegram in Clarksburg for seven years. Prior to that, she served nine years as the senior field representative for The American Red Cross Blood services in North and South Carolina and West Virginia, as well as Community Blood Centers of South Florida before returning home to the Mountain State.
“When my twin grandsons were born, I just had to come back,” Robinson said.
Robinson has one daughter, Farrah Johnson, who works as a speech therapist at Doddridge Elementary School. Her twin grandsons, Alex and Isaac, turn 11 this month.
“My passion for people is only exceeded by my passion for animals,” Robinson said. “I am the proud mom of three precious Yorkies, Cody, Mollie and Gemma. Gemma is known to frequent The Weston Democrat office quite often.”
She now serves all three publications of Mountaineer Newspapers: The Weston Democrat, Mountain Statesman and Record Delta. She primarily works out of The Weston Democrat, where her office is located.
“I appreciate all your loyal support while I was at The Weston Democrat, and hope you carry it on with Ellen Robinson,” Posey said.
On behalf of the staff of The Weston Democrat and Mountaineer Newspapers, we wish Posey and Robinson the best with their new responsibilities.
