Police Investigate Walkersville Break-In

The Lewis County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a break-in that occurred late Sunday, Oct. 22, or early Monday, Oct 23, at the Tri-Lakes Convenience Store in Walkersville.    
Employee Daisy Buckhannon, who discovered the break-in, along with store manager Kim Craig-Bleigh, said the store’s security cameras captured an individual, with their face obscured, smash the glass out of the store’s front door.
Buckhannon went on to say that the individual took an undisclosed amount of cash that she characterized as large.
The Lewis County Sheriff’s Department said in a statement that they know that someone has information regarding the break-in. They noted that any information, even if it is given in confidence, could prove helpful in identifying the perpetrator.
