New store hosts opening weekend

A business in downtown Weston opened its doors for the first time over the weekend, and the owner was more than happy with the warm welcome and excitement they received from the community.
Curated is the name of the new shop that sits near the corner of East 2nd Street and Center Avenue, and inside you will find a wide variety of many different products such as art, jewelry, clothing, and household items. The majority of the store’s items are locally crafted and handmade.
“We stayed so busy over the weekend. Sunday was just non-stop, which was fabulous,” said store owner Anna Cardelli.
Cardelli, who is originally from Colorado, said that when she and her husband first moved to Lewis County, they tried to figure out what it was the community needed the most.
“We asked so many people when we first got here what they would like to see the most in Weston, and the answer was always more places to shop and more things to do. So we’re just trying to help fill that void.”
“Our plan is to try to bring in as much locally handmade items as possible. So we will constantly be looking for new vendors and items to add to the store” said Cardelli.
Although she is staying busy getting this place up and running, it isn’t the only plan she has up her sleeve for Weston. According to Cardelli, they are also working on a separate place in town for another idea she has.
“That one is more of a work in progress since we’re focusing so much on this store right now, but we do plan on making an announcement about the other one in about a month,” she said.
Curated is now open seven days a week, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. each day.
A grand opening and ribbon cutting for the store will held in a few weeks.
