Minutemen JV Squad 2-1 on Season


The Lewis County Minutemen Junior Varsity squad is 2-1 on the season, after they went 1-1 for the most recent week of play.
Lewis County traveled to Riverside on Dec. 9, where they came out on top 55-51 in overtime.
In a game that was close throughout, the Minutemen outscored Riverside 10-6 in the extra session, to take the win and move to 2-0 in the season.
Kyle Gannon led the Minutemen with 17 points, while Jacob Gragg and Jerad Warner added 10 points each.
On Dec. 15, Lewis County was be at home to take on the Fairmont Senior Polar Bears.
The JVs would once again found themselves in a close contest as the fell to the Polar Bears 58-56 as their fourth quarter comeback attempt fell just short.
Kyle Gannon led the way with 24 points while Jacob Gragg chipped in 12 points. The JV squad will be back in action on Dec. 20, when they will travel to Preston County to take on the Preston Knights.
