Minutemen Freshmen Team Defeat Liberty 72-53

The Lewis County Minutemen Freshman basketball team was at home on Dec. 12, when they took on the Liberty Mountaineers.
The game got off to a hot start as both teams scored 22 points each in the first quarter of play.
Then, from that point on, Lewis County outscored Liberty in each of the final three quarters of play to claim a 72-53 win over Liberty.
Adam Watson scored 20 points for Lewis County, while Will Hunt scored 14 points; Jaycob Smith scored 11 points and Isaac McCray scored 10 points to help lead a balanced Minutemen scoring attack.
The Minutemen hit the court on Dec. 19, at Preston and will again on Dec. 21, at home versus Buckhannon-Upshur.
