Minutemaids Defeat Notre Dame


The Lewis County High School Varsity Minutemaids basketball team defeated Notre Dame at home on Monday, January 3.
Top scorers for the game were Junior Sarah Post, with 18 points, and Senior Alexis Rumbach, who scored 19. The Miutemaids held a constant lead in the game, finishing with a leading score of 67, versus Notre Dame’s 49.
Gaining the lead in the first quarter with a score of 16-8, they quickly widened the gap even further, making 24 more points in the second quarter, bringing the score to 40-17.
Notre Dame tried to come back in the second quarter, but seemingly wasn’t up to the task as the maids kept their lead and even managed to outscore for two more quarters.
