Michael “Mike” Ross Neal, 52, of Koontz Dr., Weston, passed away at 9:33 p.m., on Tuesday, December 12, 2017, as a result of injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Indian Fork Rd., in Doddridge County.
He was born in Weston on May 28, 1965, a son of the late Richard Leo Neal and Juanita May Brady Hinkle of Weston.
His caring, comical nature will be remembered by his former spouse and current companion, Nancy Smith Swiger Neal of Weston; three step-children: Robert “Bobby” Swiger and companion, Missy Jenkins, of Weston, Lisa Workman of Parkersburg, and Kristy Vankirk and companion, Dave Pope, of Weston; nine step-grandchildren: Thomas and Eddie Swiger, Kaitlyn and Destiny Jenkins, Dakota and Savannah Workman, Nathaniel Workman and Damian “Lil Danny” Vankirk; three siblings: Karen Beverly Queen and husband, Claude, of Weston, Richard Neal and wife, Peggy, of Little Ellis, and Russell Neal of Weston; four nieces and nephews: Little Richard Neal, Ethan Queen, Missy Neal, and Christian Conner; and his best friend, loyal companion, and beloved Boxer, Bella.
Mike worked as a pilot escort for Deep Well in Buckhannon for many years. He collected knives and eagle memorabilia, enjoyed watching WWE and listening to music, loved spending time with friends, and most of all, he treasured every moment with his grandchildren, who were the light of his life.
Friends and family gathered at the Pat Boyle Funeral Home and Cremation Service, at 144 Hackers Creek Rd., in Jane Lew, from 5-6 p.m., on Saturday, December 16, 2017. A Celebration of Life Service followed at 6 p.m., at the Pat Boyle Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Ronald C. Brown officiating.
