Maids JV improves record to 3-2 with a pair of wins


The Lewis County Maids Junior Varsity squad improved their record to 3-2 on the season as they pick up a pair of wins. The first game for the Maids JV squad was a trip to Clarksburg to take on the Liberty Mountaineers.
The Maids enjoyed a huge first quarter, as they outscored Liberty 17-4 and did not look back as they gained a 60-17 win over Liberty.
Mackenzie Hendricks and Hannah Brown scored 12 points each, while Shyanna James added nine points. The next game for the Maids JV was a home game against the Preston Knights.
Lewis County once gain started out strong, as they enjoyed a 20-12 lead after one quarter of play, and went on to post a 56-48 win over Preston.
Mackenzie Hendricks scored 19 points for the Maids, while Hannah Brown had 12 points and Emma Starett added 11 points. The Maids JV will be back in action on Jan. 2, when they will travel to Elkins.
