Maids 6-4 after home loss to Cougars


The Lewis County Maids basketball team was at home on Jan. 4, when they hosted the Lincoln Cougars in a Big Ten Conference game.
Lewis County outscored Lincoln 14-12 to claim the early lead. The Cougars then outscored the Maids 13-7 in the second quarter to take a 25-21 halftime lead.
The lead for Lincoln was 38-34 after three quarters, as both teams scored 13 points each in the canto. Lewis County outscored Lincoln 12-11 in the fourth quarter, but fell short of victory, as they lost 49-46 to make their record 6-4 on the season.
The Maids were led by Bella Posey with 17 points, while Anna Tucker added 13 points. Anna Tucker had 13 rebounds, and Sarah post had 6 boards, while Payton Campbell dished out 6 assists. Upcoming Maids games include Jan. 11, at Grafton, Jan. 13, at home versus Roane County and Jan. 16, at home versus Bridgeport.
