Schools out for the summer, and the Lewis County Pool is open for the summer.
“School let out earlier than normal this year, which means that Lewis County gets to enjoy the pool even longer,” said one of the pool managers, Karen Pascasio.
Lewis County Pool is now open every day from noon to 6 p.m., weather permitting.
The cost to enter the pool is $3, and is $5, if you wish to use the big slide. The pool is also offering season passes, which are $50 per pass.
“We are experiencing rather low temperatures for a typical May in Lewis County, which has led to lower numbers than we are used to,” stated Pascasio.
Even though numbers are lower than normal, that hasn’t stopped the staff of the Lewis County Pool from showing up to work, to keep the swimmers safe.
“The Lewis County Park has had 18 returning life guards this year, and most of the staff are back for the summer. We also have great new hires this year,” said LC Park Director John Shaffer.
