With an undefeated record on the line the Lewis County Midget football team traveled to West Milford to meet up with the South Harrison Hawks for a Mountaineer Youth Football game.
The Minutemen got on the board first as Jared Fisher ran in from 35 yards out and also ran in for the conversion to give Lewis County a 7-0 lead after one quarter of play.
The next Lewis County score would come in the second quarter when on a third down and one yard to go Trenton Bush ran the quarterback sneak for a 72-yard touchdown run and after Fisher ran in for the conversion Lewis County had a 14-0 lead that they would carry into the second half.
South Harrison would score a third quarter touchdown to cut the lead to 14-6, but Fisher would score a fourth quarter touchdown run and scored the final points in a 20-6 win.
Lewis County had 269 yards in total offense all coming on the ground. Fisher led all rushers with 115 yards and two touchdowns.
Lewis County will be at home this Saturday night at 7 p.m., versus Grafton. Trenton Bush, with 10 tackles and Drew Cayton, with nine tackles, led the Minutemen on the defensive side of the ball.
