Lewis County Heart Society Donates Equipment to SJMH

The Lewis County Heart Society recently donated a new treadmill to the Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital (SJMH) Cardiac Rehab Department in honor of the memory of Anna Elizabeth “Sissie” Davisson Riley.  
Riley, who passed away in 2016, is best remembered as the owner of Sissie Cares Daycare Center.   Riley was also an active member of the Lewis County Heart Society, St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, the Theresa Snaith Hospital Auxiliary, the Red Hat Society, the Lewis County Senior Center, Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Court Victory #379 Catholic Daughters of the Americas.
The Lewis County Heart Society is a non-profit that was founded in 1969 with the mission of improving heart health in Lewis County, the group providesprovide equipment and educational services to improve the cardiac health and welfare of Lewis Countians.
The group has provided cardiac monitors and defibulators to the Lewis County Ambulance Service and the Weston, Jane Lew, and Walkersville Fire Departments as well as to local churches.
