The Lewis County Board of Education recently approved a three-hour inclement weather delay option.
This option will potentially allow for school to be in session for a half day. Schools will still use the two-hour delay option in most weather-related situations.
When and if a three-hour delay is called, parents will simply add three-hours to the regular bus pick-up and/or school arrival time when sending their children to school.
A “grab-and-go breakfast” will be available for any student as they arrive on a three-hour delay schedule. Students may either eat it or take it home for a snack.
