One hundred four Lewis County 4-H members enjoyed a week of camping last week at WVU Jackson’s Mill.
The Mingo Tribe, led by Chief Anna Loyd, won the spirit stick at the last council circle, which took place the evening of July 5, the last day of camp.
Outstanding first year campers were Ava Spiker and Nick Maxwell.
Nine members will age out of camp next year. They are Hannah Breen, Mason Arbogast, Khori Lowther, Brooklyn Perkey, Anna Loyd, Gabby Hardman, Emyle Johnston, Kylea Arnold, and Andrew Strader. They can still volunteer, but they will no longer be considered campers.
There are nine 4-H clubs in Lewis County. For more information on becoming a member, call the WVU Lewis County Extension Office at 304-269-4660.
