Lee Alexander Kraus, a strong Christian father, son, brother, entrepreneur, and leader went to be with God in Heaven on Sunday, March 4, 2018. Lee and his recently deceased wife, Lisa Michelle “Shelly” Kraus, celebrated 24 beautiful years of marriage on December 11, 2017. Lee blessed this Earth when he was born in Buckhannon on February 15, 1970, a son of proud parents, David Alexander Kraus and Sharon Lillie King Kraus, who reside in Alum Bridge.
His strong Christian values and unconditional love and support will be part of a legacy that he leaves behind for his family. In addition to his children, memories will be cherished by his two siblings: Laura “Beth” Kraus Haley and husband, Richard, of Arlington, VA, Mark David Kraus and wife, Roxanne, of Leesburg, VA, and sister-in-law Sherri Denise Jackson and husband, Darren, of Horner; as well as seven nieces and nephews: Ryan, Morgan, and Aaron Jackson, Trey and David Haley, and Camdyn and Weston Kraus.
He will be reunited with his wife, Shelly Kraus, as well as his grandparents, Edward and Marjorie Kraus and Frank and Evelyn King.

He continued his education at West Virginia University, earning two Master of Arts degrees in Special Education (1993) and Secondary Education (1995), and a Doctorate of Education Curriculum and Instruction in 1996. He worked at Mythology Marketing and MedExpress Urgent Care before becoming a Senior Technology Consultant for Mountain Point. He was an active member of Horizons Church in Lost Creek where he enjoyed using his skills in technology and business to further the mission of the church, as well as leading worship alongside his daughter.
Spending time with his wife, children, and family brought him great joy, and he especially loved biking, taking an annual 350 mile trip from West Virginia to Washington, D.C., with his family. He also held season tickets to WVU Football, allowing him to instill a love of sports in his son. He and his family also love taking family trips to Myrtle Beach and Walt Disney World.
