LC Soccer Association victorious at Summersville

The Lewis County Soccer Association sent four teams to a tournament in Summersville, West Virginia over the weekend and two of those teams walked away with metals.
“LSCA is proud of how each of our teams competed in the tournament in Summersville,” said Pat Varah, the president of the LCSA. “Each team was competitive and sportsman-like. It was a great time for our players.”
LC Crew, coached by Varah walked away with first place metals, while the LC Ladies coached by Jason Foster walked away with a second-place title.
The u10 LC Reds played in the tourney and won a single game, and the u12 Burkhammer team made it to the semi-finals.
The Lewis County Soccer Association plays and practices on land at Jesse’s Run, in Jane Lew, owned by the Lewis County Youth 4-H Foundation. Games are played almost every evening at the complex and spectators are always welcome.
On May 19-20, the Lewis County Soccer Association will send youths to participate in the Tide Open Cup in Charleston.
