James “Jim” Lewis Frost, 76, of Maple Avenue, Mannington, passed away at 10:15 a.m., on Wednesday, January 24, 2018, in the Louis A. Johnson Medical Center in Clarksburg.
He was born in Mannington on May 19, 1941, a son of the late Ora Glen Frost and Hazel Virginia Shaffer Frost.
He is survived by two daughters, April Barnhart and husband, Matthew, of Aiken, SC, and Machelle Lynn Grim and husband, John, of Fellsmere, FL; two grandchildren, Cory Lee Renick and Laken Michele Renick; three siblings, Linda Lou Patterson and husband, Ed, of OH, Jack Frost and wife, Pat, of Fairmont, and MaryAnn Powell of Mannington; and several nieces and nephews.
Jim was an honored veteran of the United States Navy, and worked in textile manufacturing for many years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and playing golf. He was a member of the Llewellyn Baptist Church.
Jim’s request for cremation has been honored and his family will have a private Celebration of Life Service at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Llewellyn Baptist Church P.O. Box 55 Mannington, WV 26582.
