Hacker’s Creek Pioneer Descendants held their annual spaghetti dinner fundraiser over the weekend.
The group has been hosting their biggest fundraiser for 15 years. Proceeds from the dinner will go towards the library, supplies, and utilities.
Volunteers donate their time working at the dinner, and making homemade desserts.
The sauce is also homemade by board member Irma Curtis. Curtis has been a volunteer at the museum for 20 years.
HCPD will hold a yard sale and hot dog sale April 7, from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m. and April 8, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. The sale will be held in the back room of the genealogical library. Items for sale will include good used household items, lots of books, collectibles, glassware, clothing, exercise equipment, and children’s toys.
There will also be homemade chili for the hot dogs. For more information or if anyone wants to donate call the library at 304-269-7091. Items can also be dropped off at the library.
