Edward Lee Heath, 64, of Gee Lick Road, Weston, passed away at 6:44 p.m., on Friday, April 6, 2018, in Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital in Weston.
He was born in Weston on December 22, 1953, a son of the late William Matthew Heath and Thelma Augustine Hawkins Heath.
His resourceful and hardworking nature will be carried on by his four children: Ronda Brown of Buckhannon, Edward Matthew Heath of Weston, Mark Stanton Heath and fiancé, Amy Skinner, of Walkersville, and Haylee Raye Heath of Buckhannon; three grandchildren: Jacob Reed of Buckhannon, Stanton Heath of Elkins, and Brieal Heath of Elkins; seven siblings: Sylvia Johnson, Barbara Barker, Betty Heath, Loretta Cottrill, Susie Marks, Carl Heath, and Junior Heath; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters: Mildred Butcher, and Linda Mae Heath; and a brother-in-law, Paul Barker.
Ed was a highly skilled and experienced small engine mechanic and redneck engineer who could fix just about anything, and he especially enjoyed building go-cart engines for friends who raced at the Waldek Raceway years ago. He had a special place in his heart for antiques and he often traveled to Amish country to seek new treasures for his collection.
Friends and family gathered at the Pat Boyle Funeral Home and Cremation Service at 144 Hackers Creek Rd. in Jane Lew from 4-7 p.m., on Monday, April 9, 2018. Funeral Services were held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, at the Pat Boyle Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Bob Mitchell officiating. Interment followed in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in Jane Lew.
