A driver was transported to the hospital following an accident on Interstate 79 this afternoon.
According to West Virginia State Police on scene, the driver was traveling southbound, and he swerved to avoid a collission, losing control of his vehicle.
The vehicle crossed the median and struck the guardrail on the northbound side. The accident took place just north of Exit 99.
There is no word on the driver's condition at this time, but police say they do not believe his injury is life threatening.
