Darrell Eugene Ables, 52, of Weston, was turned out to greener pastures on the peaceful, sunny morning of August 29, 2017, after a brief stay at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown.
He was born in Weston on August 5, 1965, a son of Eugene Franklin Ables and Stella Jean Ables of Weston.
He is also survived by four children: Roseann Riddle and husband, Adam, of Weston, Kayla Jean Ables of Clarksburg, Derrick Eugene Ables of Huttonsville, and Austin Reed Ables of Clarksburg; six grandchildren: Hannah, Xavier, and Madison Riddle, Harley Ables, Sonny Ables, and Sophia Ables; six siblings: Jimmy Ables (fiancé Janet Rowan), Fletcher John Ables, and Raymond Ables, all of Weston, Sue Posey and husband, Charles, of Buckhannon, Ruth Brooks of Weston, and Frankie Jean Ables of Weston; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one grandson, Zion Ables.
Darrell was a farmer who enjoyed hunting, gardening, woodworking, and watching westerns. He was a loving, caring man who will be dearly missed by his family and friends.
Friends and family will gather for a Graveside Service at the Jacksonville Cemetery off Oil Creek Rd., in Roanoke, at 12 noon on Thursday, August 31, 2017, with Reverend Bob Hoover officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made at the funeral home to assist the family with final expenses.
