Children’s BJJ Earn Belt Stripes


Ground Zero Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) in Weston held their first Kids’ Class Promotion Ceremony on Thursday, Jan. 26, after class.
Instructor and owner Jeb Tonkin gave the children in the class their first stripe on their belts.
BJJ is a type of martial arts that involves grappling and holds.
Along with Tonkin, Cody Clevenger also assists in helping teach the children.
Tonkin and Clevenger along with the physical aspect of BJJ, are teaching the children a word of the week, which reflect what BJJ is all about. Some of the words they have included are Discipline and Respect.
