The West Virginia Department of Education has made changes to preschool age requirements.
Eligible children must turn four years old by July 1 of the same school year the child will enroll.
This means a child must be four years old on or before midnight on June 30, 2018, to enroll for the 2018-19 school year.
A county-wide universal enrollment process must be maintained that includes a complete enrollment packet, birth certificate from the Office of Vital Statistics, up-to-date immunizations, Child Well Check form completed from the doctor, and a dental exam report from the dentist.
For more information, call 304-269-8300, ext. 115. Pre-school is voluntary.
