Camden woman jailed for probation violation


Tamber D. Morris, 26, of U.S. Highway 33 West, Camden, was charged with obstructing an officer by Sr. Tpr. Z.T. Cooper of the West Virginia State Police on Sept. 5, 2017.
On Nov. 14, 2017, Morris pleaded guilty before Magistrate Roger D. Clem, Jr. She was assessed court costs of $160.25 and received a 60 day suspended jail sentence replaced with one year of probation to include participation in the Community Corrections Program.
On Jan. 30, Magistrate Clem revoked her probation for violating the terms and conditions, including testing positive for drug use, and she was sentenced to serve 32 days in jail.
Other recent dispositions handed down in Lewis County Magistrate Court included the following:
Shannon Pritt, 36, of Rana Estates, Roanoke, was charged with felony third offense domestic battery by Deputy J.S. Carey, LCSD, on Jan. 1, and with  destruction of property by Deputy J.S. VanMeter, LCSD, on Jan. 12.
On Jan. 31, under a plea agreement with the state, Pritt pleaded guilty to the lesser charged of second offense domestic battery and the felony third offense and destruction of property charges were dismissed upon motion by the state before Magistrate Michael R. Gissy.
On the second-offense domestic battery charge, Pritt was assessed court costs of $160.25 and received a suspended six-month jail sentence replaced with two years of probation, with credit for 31 days served in jail prior to entering his plea.
Amanda J. Taylor, 29, of Sprigg Road, Walkersville, was charged with felony possession of a controlled substance/Marijuana with intent to deliver by Deputy J.S. VanMeter, LCSD, on Aug. 9, 2017 and with petit larceny by Deputy E.E. Carpenter, LCSD, on Aug. 23, 2017.  
On Jan. 31, under a plea agreement with the state, Taylor pleaded guilty to the lesser misdemeanor crime of possession of a controlled substance/Marijuana and the felony charge and petit larceny charges were dismissed upon motion by the state before Magistrate Gissy.
On the misdemeanor charge of possession she was assessed court costs of $160.25 and received a six month suspended jail sentence replaced with one year of probation.
Erin G. Parker, 39, of Farland Drive, Weston, was charged with felony child neglect creating risk of injury by Ptlm. J.I. Minney, WPD, on April 2, 2017.
On Jan. 31, under a plea agreement with the state, Parker pleaded guilty to the lesser crime of contributing to the delinquency of a minor and the felony charge was dismissed upon motion by the state before Magistrate Gissy. She was assessed a fine of $50 and court costs of $160.25.
Stewart A. Goodman, 54, of Jesse Run Road, Jane Lew, was charged with petit larceny by Prosecuting Attorney Christina Flanigan on Oct. 23, 2017.
On Jan. 29, Goodman pleaded guilty before Magistrate Michael Coffman. He was assessed court costs of $184.25 and ordered to pay $2,472.53 in restitution to the victim of his crime. Additionally he received a six month suspended jail sentence replaced with two years of probation with a requirement that restitution and court costs be paid within six months. He was also ordered to have no contact with the victim.
Tyler C. Evans, 21, of Laurel Lick Road, Weston, was charged with possession of a controlled substance/Xanax by Prosecuting Attorney Christina Flanigan on Jan. 29.
On Jan. 31, Evans pleaded guilty before Magistrate Gissy. He was assessed court costs of $160.25 and received a six day suspended jail sentence replaced with one year of probation to include partipation in a drug rehabilitation program.
Bruce M. Padgett, 36, of Spring Street, Weston, was charged with petit larceny by Ptlm. S. Carlton, WPD, on Aug. 17, 2017.
On Jan. 31, Padgett pleaded guilty before Magistrate Clem. He was assessed a fine of $10, court costs of $160.25 and ordered to pay restitution of $10.59 to Go Mart and $99.76 to Walmart.
Shana R. McCoy, 24, of Old Route 33, Weston, was charged with domestic assault by Sr. Tpr. F.J. Turansky on Aug. 7, 2017.
On Feb. 1. McCoy pleaded guilty before Magistrate Clem. He was assessed court costs of $160.24 and received a 90 day suspended jail sentence replaced with one year of probation with credit for nine days spent in jail prior to entering his plea.
Azzlea A. Beeson, 26, of
Cemetery Street, Weston, was charged with false reporting of an emergency by Sr. Tpr. F.J. Turansky, WVSP, on Sept. 1, 2017.
On Jan. 30, Beeson pleaded guilty before Magistrate Gissy. She was assessed court costs of $160.25 and received credit for 25 days spent in jail prior to entering her plea as a jail sentence.
Therial E. Hines, 36, of East Park Village, Fairmont, was charged with possession of a controlled substance/Marijuana, possession of a controlled substance/Alprazolam and possession of a controlled substance/Buprenorphine by Deputy A.J. Hummel, LCSD, on Sept. 3, 2017.
On Jan. 30, under a plea agreement with the state, Hines pleaded guilty to the possession of Alprazolam and possession of Buprenorphine and possession of Marijuana charges were dismissed upon motion by the state before Magistrate Gissy.
On the possession of Alprazolam charge he was assessed court costs of $160.25 and received a 90 day suspended jail sentence replaced with one year of probation. On the possession of Buprenorphine charge he was assessed court costs of $160.25 and received a 90 day suspended jail sentence replaced with one year of probation. He received credit for two days spent in jail prior to entering his plea.
Michelle D. Bailey, 36, of VanHorris Road, Morgantown, was charged with destruction of property by Cpl. E. J. Riddle, WPD, on Jan.28, 2017 and with false reporting of an emergency by Cpl. E.J. Riddle, WPD, on Feb. 2, 2017.
On Jan. 30, under a plea agreement with the state, Bailey pleaded guilty to the destruction of property charge and the false reporting charge was dismissed upon motion by the state before Magistrate Gissy.
On the destruction of property charge she was assessed court costs of $160.25, was ordered to pay restitution in the amount of $198.34 and received a 10 day suspended jail sentence replaced with six months of probation. She was given credit for four days spent in jail prior to entering her plea.
Donald G. Harper, 40, of Spelter, was charged with petit larceny by Deputy J.S. Carey, LCSD, on May 29, 2017.
On Jan. 30, the charge was dismissed upon motion by the state before Magistrate Gissy with the notation that another charge against Harper will be filed.
Colleen M. Ross, 46, of Mosquito Road, Buckhannon, was charged with permitting an unauthorized person to drive by Ptlm. R. Wilson, WPD, on Jan. 26.
On Jan. 28, Ross pleaded no contest before Magistrate Gissy. She was assessed a fine of $150 and court costs of $160.25.
Janette Ables, 42, of Water Street, Weston, was charged with issuing two worthless checks to the Tri-Lakes Convenience Center in the amounts of $190 and $30.
On Jan. 24, Ables pleaded guilty to both charges before Magistrate Clem. She was assessed total fines of $40, court costs of $370.50 and restitution in the amount of $230.
Samatha J. Bowen, 26, of Jonathan Street, Weston, was charged with destruction of property by Deputy J.S. Tonkin, LCSD, on Feb. 8, 2017, with second offense driving while license was suspended or revoked by Deputy E.E. Carpenter on Aug. 13, 2017, and with obstructing by Deputy J.A. Turner, LCSD, on Oct. 2, 2017.
On Jan. 26, under a plea agreement with the state, Bowen pleaded guilty to a reduced first offense driving revoked charge and the destruction of property and obstructing charges were dismissed upon motion by the state before Magistrate Gissy.
On the driving revoked charge she was assessed a fine of $100, court costs of $160.25 and restitution in the amount of $100.
Michael W. Nuzum, 54, of Buck Light Road, Buckhannon, was charged with obstructing an officer by Ptlm. S. Carlton, WPD, on Jan. 13.
On Jan. 25, Nuzum pleaded guilty before Magistrate Gissy. He was assessed court costs of $160.25 and  received credit for 13 days spent in jail prior to entering his plea as a jail sentence.
Emilee C. Sprouse, 21, of U.S. Highway 19 North, Jane Lew, was charged with destruction of property by Deputy J.S. VanMeter, LCSD, on Aug. 18, 2017.
On Jan. 25, Sprouse pleaded guilty before Magistrate Gissy. She was assessed court costs of $185.25 and received a 10 day suspended jail sentence replaced with six months of probation. She paid the victim of her crime $260 in restitution.
Anissa M. Williams, 24, of Reel Avenue, Bridgeport, was charged with obstructing an officer by Deputy Z.M. Lopez, LCSD, on Aug. 18, 2017.
On Jan. 25, Williams pleaded guilty before Magistrate Gissy. She was assessed court costs of $160.25 and received a seven day suspended jail sentence replaced with six months of probation. She was given credit for one day spent in jail prior to entering her plea.
Charles Hopkins, 34, of Salt Lick Road, Sutton, was charged with second offense driving while license was suspended or revoked for DUI and no seatbelt by Cpl. L.D. Mohr, WVSP, on  Sept. 21, 2017.
On Jan. 25, under a plea agreement with the state, Hopkins pleaded guilty to a lesser first offense driving revoked charge and the no seat belt charge was dismissed upon motion by the state before Magistrate Gissy.
On the driving revoked charge, he was assessed a fine of $100, court costs of $160.25 and received a 90 day suspended jail sentence replaced with home confinement.
Vincent G. Baisi, 23, of 10th Street, Charleston, was charged with possession of a controlled substance/Suboxone and obstructing an officer by Deputy J.S. VanMeter, LCSD, on Dec. 7, 2017.
On Jan. 25, under a plea agreement with the state, Baisi pleaded guilty to obstructing and the possession charge was dismissed upon motion by the state before Magistrate Gissy.
On the obstructing charge he was assessed court costs of $160.25 and received credit for 49 days served in jail as his jail sentence.
