Busy weekend for first responders

Local emergency crews had a busy few days over the holiday weekend with several accidents around the county.
The Weston Fire Department (WFD), Lewis County Emergency Squad (LCEMS), and Weston Police Department (WPD) responded to a single vehicle accident on West Second Street on Thursday, Dec. 21.   Both occupants of the vehicle were transported to Stonewall Jackson Memorial Hospital with undisclosed injuries.
Units from the WFD were assisted by the Pricetown Volunteer Fire Department on Saturday, Dec. 23, with a single vehicle accident on Jennings Run Road.  A tractor trailer went off the roadway and rolled into a tree, damaging the vehicles trailer. There were no injuries.
In the evening hours of Saturday, Dec. 23, the Jane Lew Volunteer Fire Department was assisted by the Jackson’s Mill Volunteer Fire Department with a single vehicle accident at the intersection of Main and Trolley streets in Jane Lew.  No injuries were reported.  
The Jane Lew and Weston Departments also assisted Harrison County units with an accident in the early morning hours of Monday, Dec. 25.  The vehicle went off of Interstate 79 before coming to rest on McWhorter Road.  No word on injuries as of press time.
