She also leaves behind two sisters: Shirley Carroll and husband, Chuck, of Wake Forest, NC, and Sue Siebel and husband, Bob, of Kansas City, MO; one sister-in-law, Sue Crown and husband, Dave of Murphy, NC; one brother-in-law, Tom Somerville and wife, Sonja, of TX; and several nieces and nephews.
Barbara was a caregiver for Patricia Preece, whom she thought of as one of her own grandchildren.  She also thought the world of her dear friend, Lana Taylor.
Barbara was a wonderful mother, grandmother, and talented seamstress, who made beautiful clothing for her children, and grandchildren, who brought great joy to her life. She treasured time spent with them, especially shopping and vacationing together. She was a member of the New Bethel United Methodist Church and was well known for the many dinners and delicious pies she prepared for her church family. Her family, friends, and community will miss her dearly and remember her fondly.
