A local children’s author is in need of help with a charity project she has planned.
Weston author Patsy Reckart, who wrote the children’s book “Little Kokamoe Joe”, hopes to donate copies of her book to children at St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, but she’ll need to print more copies of the book to meet her goal.
Reckart can easily create more copies of her book through a self-publishing agency that will allow her to print as many or as few copies as she needs, but the printing cost per book is $6. Reckart usually sells her book at $10. Sponsorship benefits the printing costs only, and the author is not seeking profit for this project.
The author needs sponsors, either businesses, organizations or individuals, willing to help donate funds to sponsor this project. She needs to print between 50-100 copies to distribute to children in stay at the hospital.
Every sponsorship counts, whether one book or a larger batch of them.

Reckart’s project, call her at 304-269-7152. You can also make arrangements by phone for donating to the project.
