Ann Davisson, 77, of Broadway St., Lost Creek, passed away at 5:30 a.m., on Friday, November 3, 2017, in the Corkrean Elder Care Assisted Living Home in Lost Creek.
She was born in Weston on October 4, 1940, a daughter of the late Claude Richmond Davisson and Kathryn Hinkle Davisson.
Her funny, hard working nature will be remembered by her two nephews: Robert Flint and wife, Ronelle, of Ripley, and Jeff Flint and wife, Terry, of Weston; and several cousins, including: Kim Wriston and husband, Greg, of Lost Creek, Sherri McDonald of Lost Creek, and Terri Glaze and husband, Steve, of Ponte Vedra, FL; and special friends: Sue Stout, and Trela Jackson, both of Lost Creek.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one sister, Kathryn Davisson Flint.
Ann graduated from the University of North Carolina with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, then from the University of Pittsburgh with her Masters Degree in Nursing.
She devoted her life to providing loving, compassionate care to her patients, and especially enjoyed working as Director of Nursing at the Henrietta Egleston Hospital for Children in Atlanta, GA, for over 20 years. She was a member of St. Matthew United Methodist Church, then the Lost Creek United Methodist Church. In her free time, she enjoyed reading and crafting.
Ann’s request for cremation has been honored. Friends and family will gather for a Celebration of Life Service at the Pat Boyle Funeral Home and Cremation Service at 144 Hackers Creek Rd., in Jane Lew, at 1 p.m., on Wednesday, November 8, 2017, with Pastor Saundra Boley officiating. Interment will follow in the Machpelah Cemetery in Weston.
