Allan D. McKinney, age 59, of Hanoverton, died at 5:50 p.m. Tuesday, July 25, 2017, at the Community Hospice House in New Philadelphia. He was born October 30, 1957, in Weston, West Virginia, the son of the late Lavonne McKinney.
Allan retired from General Motors where he worked as an assembler for over 24 years.
Allan enjoyed watching the Cleveland Browns, NASCAR and playing chess. He leaves behind his dog, Bizzy.
Survivors include five sisters, Brenda (Louie) Zannetakis of Lordstown, Debbie (Matt) Hutton of Beloit, Michele (Dale) Burge of Hanoverton, Pam (Bob) Reese of Florida, and Tanya (Jim) Riley of Weston, West Virginia; two brothers, Rob (Mona) Smith of Salem and Mike (Barb) Smith of Salem; and several nieces and nephews.
Services were be held at 11 a.m., Monday, July 31, 2017, at Stark Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor David McKinney officiating. Calling hours were held 6-8 p.m. Sunday, July 30, 2017, and one hour prior to service on Monday, July 31, 2017, at the funeral home. Burial was at Woodsdale Cemetery in Hanoverton.
